This blog is now over

so the reason i started this blog was to take lots of pictures of japanese food while i lived in japan. i spent 3 years sampling all the delicious food the country has to offer. im back in america now and i want to keep this blog wrapped in a neat little package. so im going to keep snapping pics of food but now it will no longer just be japanese food. i am going to take pics of food i experience in america. i will only take pics of delicious food i recommend, interesting new food, or food from great restaurants i recommend. if you want to keep up with my food experiences i will keep my pictures on my newer account at foodspotting.com so you can follow me on over there.

Quest completed. Found a kfc and aquired the infamous double down. Two pieces of fried chicken with some cheese and tasty sauce in between. No bread required. It was as indulgent and delicious as i imagined. The chicken was seasoned heavily and had a strong peppery taste. The sauce was kind of like a mild chipotle mayonaise or something. Overall very good.

I have a love hate relationship with olive garden. I disagree with the existence of olive garden based on principle but after being in japan for so long this tour of italy was just so delicious.

“hakata” ramen. A big bowl of disappointment. This wasnt even close to good ramen let alone real hakata ramen. I could get a better bowl of ramen at a convenience store in japan. The broth was not very thick and flavor was very strange. At cherry blossom noodle cafe in phoenix.

The first real cheesecake ive had in a year. Chocolate cheesecake. So rich and decadent. Im not used to food thats this sweet anymore. Loved it. At the el dorado diner in new york.

My last omuraisu! I just couldnt decide which kind i wanted so i got a half and half. Half demi glaze sauce half cream sauce. There was cheese mixed into both sides. Great! At pomu no ki in himeji.
